Step by step to a recognized professional qualification

The concept of partial qualification (TQ) gives you the opportunity for a skilled job. With TQ, recognized apprenticeship occupations are divided into individual, self-contained partial qualifications. You can qualify with just one partial qualification, or with several, within the same occupational profile.
You will be trained in a varied learning environment. You will alternate between live sessions in a virtual classroom and deepening your acquired skills on a learning platform. Online instructors will present theoretical content in short segments, monitor your learning progress, and be available to answer your questions. Additional learning process facilitators will support you directly on-site and reflect on your practical learning experiences.

Partial qualification is aimed at job seekers who want to further their qualifications and at skilled or unskilled employees in companies.

Entry requirements

• Language level B2, high learning motivation and ability to concentrate
• Suitability will be assessed in a personal consultation.

• Imparting theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in accordance with the chosen partial qualification
• Achieving a self-contained, usable qualification
• If you successfully complete all the partial qualifications of the job profile, you can register for the external examination at the relevant chamber.

Content & Services

TQ 1 - Cashier duties and product range

• You will learn about the checkout workstation and receive technical training on its functions.
• You will receive instruction in the work processes.
• You will learn communication techniques to react professionally to all situations in customer contact.

TQ 2 - Service and Customer Information

• You will gain knowledge about the process of sales conversations with customers.
• They practice handling customer advice confidently in the various service offerings.

TQ 3 - Goods movement and price calculation

• You will learn important information about receiving goods, storing goods, and taking inventory.
• You will acquire knowledge about price calculation and procurement.
• In the warehouse you will become familiar with the work and transport equipment, such as the pallet truck.

TQ 4 - Consulting and Sales

• They deepen their knowledge of goods and services in order to then pass this knowledge on to the customer.
• Conflict and complaint management, as well as handling complaints and exchanges, are taught.

TQ 5 - Product presentation and sales promotion

• You will learn how to present goods attractively in the shop window and in the sales area to arouse buying interest.
• They implement sales promotion measures and advertising strategies such as discount campaigns and learn about the laws of competition law.

Each partial qualification includes a theory phase [320 teaching units] as well as a company-based qualification phase in companies in the region [at least 160 hours].

To complete a partial qualification, you will undergo an individual skills assessment with a practical and a theoretical component.

Financial support

Each partial qualification is an AZAV-approved training measure and can be funded via an education voucher from the Federal Employment Agency or your local job center. Employers and employees can receive funding through the Federal Employment Agency under the Qualification Opportunities Act.
