What vocational rehabilitation could be appropriate for me in my situation?

  • How and where can I receive competent support when applying for medical and/or vocational rehabilitation services?

  • Is there a healthy activity for me and what could it look like?

IRU - In-company rehabilitation through retraining:

(1) Rehabilitation preparatory course [RVL] 3 months, to create the basis for the usually 2-year retraining

(2) maximum two-year retraining in different career fields in the dual training system, weekly additional lessons in the BWHW

(3) Socio-educational support and organization by BWHW

Total duration: 27 months [RVL with 18-24 people, then small groups]

Participants receive transitional allowance from the funding agency

BLR - Practical vocational training course for rehabilitation patients:

Career reorientation for unemployed people with disabilities, those at risk of disability, and those with severe disabilities. Qualification in the commercial, industrial-technical, and service sectors. Internship duration: 24-26 weeks in total; socio-educational support.

Duration 9 months [group of 18-24 people]

Participants receive transitional allowance from the funding agency

Participants can still join within the first six weeks!

QuiT – Qualification and individual training for professional integration for people with mental disabilities:

Intensive psychosocial support, stabilization, qualification, internship and supervision - over 10 months [extendable by 2 months] with individual support and group work

Duration 10 months [Small group: 6 to 14 people]

Participants receive transitional allowance from the funding agency

JobClub – Reha Individual Career Coaching:

Improvement of applicant behaviour, initiation and stabilisation of the employment relationship; socio-educational

Support, advice, and coaching [weekly appointments; internship if required]

Duration 6 months [individual coaching], extension by 3 months upon request

Participants continue to receive unemployment benefit I or II

Entry possible at any time

bIS – professional integration of people with addiction problems:

Intensive socio-educational and psychological support, stabilization, qualification, and internship; duration 9 months [individual coaching and small group]

Participants receive wage replacement benefits - entry possible at any time

 

CASE MANAGEMENT to maintain employment relationships:

Supporting disabled, at-risk or sick employees in the company and coordinating their sustainable integration within the company

Duration 6 months [extension by arrangement]

Participants usually receive sick pay

Entry possible at any time

How to find us

By car via the B3 from the south:

Leave the B3 at the Marburg Süd exit and turn left onto the L3125. At the intersection, turn left onto Cappeler Straße and then immediately left onto Frauenbergstraße. After approximately 200 meters, turn left onto Johann-Konrad-Schäfer-Straße. At the next opportunity, turn left again onto Temmlerstraße. The bwhw is in the first building on the left. The entrance to the parking lot is in front of the building.

By car via the B3 from the north:

Leave the B3 at the Gisselberger Straße exit and stay in the right-turn lane. Turn right onto Gisselberger Straße. Immediately right again, cross the Konrad-Adenauer Bridge, and at the next opportunity, turn right again onto Zeppelinstraße (which becomes Frauenbergstraße). Follow this road for approximately 800 meters and then turn right onto Johann-Konrad-Schäfer-Straße. Turn left at the next opportunity onto Temmlerstraße. The bwhw is in the first building on the left. The entrance to the parking lot is in front of the building.

By bus

Get off at the "Stadtbüro" stop [lines 1, 2, 4, 6, 13, MR-80, MR-86]. Some stops are located on Frauenbergstraße, while others are on the L3089 [Cappeler Straße]. Follow Frauenbergstraße for approximately 150 meters and then turn left onto Johann-Konrad-Schäfer-Straße. Turn left again at the next opportunity onto Temmlerstraße. The bwhw is in the first building on the left.

By train

The nearest train station is Marburg Süd. From the station forecourt, turn right onto Frauenbergstraße and follow it for approximately 750 meters. Then turn right onto Johann-Konrad-Schäfer-Straße. At the next turning, turn left onto Temmlerstraße. The bwhw is in the first building on the left.

Alternatively, take bus lines 1 or 4 towards Eisenacher Weg, 2 towards Cappeler Gleiche, 6 towards Fontanestraße, or 13 towards Ebsdorfergrund. Get off at the next stop [Stadtbüro] and follow the route described above [By bus].
