TIGER - Experiencing participation and inclusion together

The TIGER pilot project is a joint initiative of the Youth and Social Welfare Office, the City School Authority, and the Frankfurt State School Authority. "TIGER" stands for " T eilhabe und Inkl emeinsam erleben " (Experiencing Participation and Inclusion Together ). In this pilot project, children receive low-threshold socio-educational support at school, aimed at compensating for social disadvantages and overcoming individual impairments.

The pilot project will be implemented at five Frankfurt schools starting in the 2025/2026 school year. At these schools, the project will initially take place in all classes or learning groups in which first-graders begin, and is aimed at all children in these classes or learning groups. The project will be implemented at the Mosaik School by our subsidiary PRO INKLUSIO gGmbH .

Target audience

The support is available to all children in the pilot schools in classes or learning groups that include first graders.

Goals

The goal is to have a dedicated educational specialist – the so-called "TIGER specialist" – in every class. This specialist works closely with the classroom teacher and supports all children in their development, learning, and social interaction. Participation and inclusion in everyday school life are promoted from the very beginning.

The project will be scientifically monitored and evaluated throughout its four-year duration. The pilot phase began in the 2025/2026 school year. Each year, another cohort of first-graders will be included.
