School-Career Coordination Office of the Main-Taunus District
The coordination office aims to provide sustainable, effective support and professional integration for young people with special needs.
Target groups
- Pupils from grade 7 onwards of all secondary schools, learning support schools and comprehensive schools in the Main-Taunus district
- Teachers responsible for career guidance in schools
- Craft businesses and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that can provide internships to secure the next generation of skilled workers
Goals
- Presentation of selected career fields for students in grade 7 through a course
- Identification of the competencies and resources of students in grades 7 and 8
- Impulses and suggestions for individual support planning in the school, social and professional areas
- Supporting schools in selecting suitable internships
- Application training and preparation of students for the application process
- Recording of competencies and resources in the company's own database
- Individual counseling for students in preparatory and final year classes
