Qualification and individual training [QuiT]

Increasing professional and societal demands, alongside personal and family problems, are leading to a growing number of mental health issues. The period between diagnosis and treatment often involves enormous strain, and you may have had to temporarily or completely abandon your previous career path. After medical rehabilitation, the question now arises: how can you successfully return to work?

With our program "Qualification and Individual Training for Vocational Integration for People with Mental Health Challenges" [QuiT], we provide comprehensive and sustainable support for your career reorientation. Our interdisciplinary team of educators, psychologists, physiotherapists, and teachers takes your individual circumstances into account and provides daily support over a period of several months until your successful return to work.

To achieve this, we utilize a meaningful and individually tailored combination of group and individual sessions, precisely tailored aptitude analyses, one-on-one consultations, and specific training programs. During the practical phases, you will gain insights into various professional fields and initially test your resilience and work capacity. You will then reflect on the insights gained with our specialists and, together, develop new career perspectives that are appropriate to your health situation.

Target audience

QuiT is aimed at people with mental health conditions who are planning to return to work after an illness or medical rehabilitation. Participation requires approval from the responsible rehabilitation provider. During the program, participants are entitled to transitional allowance from the German Pension Insurance or a comparable benefit from the statutory accident insurance. We are happy to inform clients of the Employment Agency about financing options in a personal consultation.

Duration & Course

Start dates: January 18, 2027, April 19, 2027, July 19, 2027 and October 11, 2027

The course duration depends on individual progress and is generally limited to ten months. During the first three weeks, attendance is gradually increased to full-day participation. Early termination of the course is possible at any time upon acceptance into employment subject to social security contributions.

Financial support

Services for participation in working life can be provided by the responsible rehabilitation provider [e.g., Federal Pension Insurance, Hesse, employers' liability insurance associations, SGB II providers, etc.] as individual support.
