Advice and support center – individual support on the path to employment

The “advice and support center” is aimed at unemployed people or those threatened with unemployment who want to improve their career prospects and use support in taking up employment subject to social security contributions.

Target audience

Unemployed job seekers and job seekers at risk of unemployment who require support and have sufficient German language skills to follow the content of the measure.

Goals

In our “advice and support center”, we provide you with individual and practical support to identify your professional strengths, overcome potential obstacles and take up suitable employment subject to social security contributions.

Together, we will develop realistic career prospects and an application and integration strategy tailored to your personal situation. If we are successfully placed, we will also support you after you start work, if desired, to ensure the long-term stability of your new employment.

Content & Services

Based on your previous experience, knowledge and strengths, we will tailor the consulting and support services to your individual needs:

• Competence assessment
• Developing realistic career prospects and alternatives
• Creation and optimization of your application documents
• Development of an individual application and self-marketing strategy
• Support with job searching and specific applications
• Preparation for job interviews and selection processes
• Creation and optimization of your applicant profile at the employment agency
• Providing digital skills training for job searching, online applications and the services offered by the Federal Employment Agency
• Strengthening personal, social and professional key skills
• Orientation in the digital world of work and the world of work 4.0
• If necessary, conduct a field trial.
• Placement support and support after successful employment

Duration & Course

The standard participation period is 12 weeks. It begins with a comprehensive introductory and clarification meeting. Following this, you will regularly participate in individually tailored one-on-one coaching sessions and group meetings.

The time commitment increases gradually:

• Weeks 1 to 4: two days of in-person attendance per week
• Weeks 5 to 8: three days of in-person attendance per week
• Weeks 9 to 12: four days of in-person attendance per week

Personal time constraints, such as the possibility of part-time participation, will be taken into account. If necessary, a work trial with an employer can be arranged. This serves to apply and deepen your knowledge and skills in practice or to determine your suitability for a specific job.

After a successful placement, we can continue to support you during the first six months of your employment. This follow-up support helps you, for example, with challenges in your new job and contributes to securing your employment in the long term.
