“First Step [Plus] – Entry into Nursing Professions” - Starts on November 18, 2024

On January 12, 2026, the follow-up measure of the IQ network's pilot project will start in Wiesbaden under the name "First Step [Plus] - Entry into nursing".

This project is aimed at people with and without a migration background who are seeking employment in the care sector that is subject to social security contributions. We prepare participants for the requirements of the job, both theoretically and practically, and support them as they enter the profession.

People with and without a migration background, with and without professional qualifications, can participate. Through a mix of theoretical instruction and practical components, and optional language support if needed, they are prepared for work in the care sector. At the end of the 7-month course and after passing the exam, participants even receive the qualification as a "care assistant according to §§ 43b, 53b SGB XI," which allows them to take up employment in the care sector subject to social security contributions.

Participation requires a so-called education voucher, which is issued by the responsible employment agency or job center.
