"First Step [Plus] – Entry into the nursing profession" - Start on November 18, 2024
On November 18, 2024, the follow-up measure to the IQ Network pilot project will start in Wiesbaden under the name "First Step [Plus] - Entry into Care".
The project is aimed at people with and without a migration background who are seeking a career in the care sector that is subject to social insurance contributions. We prepare participants for the requirements in theory and practice, tailored to their needs, and support them in their career entry.
People with and without a migration background, with and without professional qualifications, are welcome to participate. Through a mix of theoretical and practical instruction, with optional language support if needed, participants are prepared for a career in nursing. At the end of the seven-month course and after passing the exam, participants will even be certified as "Caregiver in accordance with Sections 43b and 53b of the Social Code Book XI," which entitles them to employment in the nursing field subject to social insurance contributions.
The prerequisite for participation is a so-called training voucher, which is issued by the responsible employment agency or job center.
