Anchor KomPo
Since 2009, the Educational Institute of the Hessian Economy has been supporting Hessian schools in the introduction of digital competency assessments for career guidance through the project "Anchoring KomPo."
While the KomPo7 competency assessment is aimed at schools with the Hauptschule and Realschule educational programs as well as at special schools with a focus on learning, the KomPoG competency assessment will be a comprehensive offer for Hessian Gymnasiums [including IGS/KGS] from the 2022/2023 school year.
The KomPo7 and KomPoG competency assessments provide students with a systematic introduction to school-based career and study orientation. The results of the competency assessments help students, their parents, and teachers prepare for subsequent career orientation measures, such as internships, workshops, or taster days.
With the help of the KomPo app, the KomPo7 and KomPoG competency assessments are implemented digitally in schools. The app is an online application that helps students explore their strengths and career interests, and relieves teachers of the documentation process.
Target group
The project's services are aimed at Hessian schools, their teachers, and students. The target group includes schools offering secondary and intermediate secondary education (Hauptschule) programs, special needs schools (Fachschulen) with a focus on learning, and grammar schools (Gymnasium) (including IGS/KGS).
Goals
The project focuses on the introduction and implementation of the KomPo procedures in Hessian schools to strengthen students' career orientation. Through a broad range of continuing education programs, teachers are qualified to implement KomPo7 and KomPoG and, at the same time, are trained to incorporate career orientation into their curriculum. The goal is to offer students an early and systematic introduction to career orientation.
