Job-related language courses

The job-related language courses are aimed at employees, people about to start work with an employment contract, and participants in labor market preparation measures who want to specifically expand their job-related German language skills.

Target audience

The courses are designed to be cross-industry and can be used in areas including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Health and care,
  • Hotel and restaurant industry,
  • Warehousing and logistics
  • trade
  • Office communication
  • Education and social work will be carried out.

Goals

The aim of job-related language courses is to strengthen language skills in the workplace and to sustainably improve communication in everyday professional life. Participants acquire the language skills they need for their specific tasks in order to confidently and independently handle professional requirements.

Content & Services

The course content is tailored to the specific workplace and individually adapted to the requirements of the company and the participants. Participants learn job-related communication skills, specialized vocabulary, and language competencies for typical and challenging situations in everyday work. Depending on the industry, the content is precisely adapted to the respective professional field.

The lessons are practical, action-oriented, and communicative. Language skills are specifically developed through partner and group work, role-playing, modern media, and individual language coaching.

Duration & Course

Participation requires a current job, imminent employment, or participation in a job preparation program. German language skills at level A2 or higher are also required. The course start date is flexible and can be arranged according to the specific needs of the company and the participants.

The courses comprise 100 to 150 teaching units and are individually tailored to the needs of companies and employees. A customized course can be arranged for groups as small as three participants, allowing for flexible course start dates.

Financial support

Participation is possible with an entitlement to job-related language courses from the BAMF, Jobcenter or Employment Agency.
