First Step [Plus] - Entry into the nursing profession

The project is aimed at people with and without a migration background who are seeking a career in the care sector that is subject to social insurance contributions. We prepare participants for the requirements in a needs-based, theoretical and practical manner and support them in their career entry.

Target group

Anyone interested in nursing careers, with or without prior professional training.

Goals

The qualification program serves as an entry point into a career in the nursing field and as a basis for further qualifications in the field of nursing and/or geriatric care.

Content & Services

• Fundamentals of nursing in theory and practice
• Medical basics
• Application coaching
• Company internships
• Optional if required: Job-related language support & communication training
• Qualification as a care worker according to § 43b, 53b SGB XI

Duration & Course

The project starts on January 12, 2026, and ends on July 24, 2026.

Classes take place daily from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (with language support) or 10:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (without language support). Internships are full-time.

Financial support

Participation is possible via a training voucher [issued by the case managers of the job center or employment agents of the employment agency].
