My Way

My Way is a joint project of the Wetterau district and the school authorities for the Hochtaunus and Wetterau districts. The project is implemented by our subsidiary PRO INKLUSIO gGmbH and is aimed at preventing school-weary young people.

Target group

The project 'My Way Wetterau' is aimed at school-weary young people from the 8th to 10th grades in the Wetterau region.

Goals

The project offers young people intensive support in small groups of up to 8 students and has a preventative effect.

The young people are supported, receive help to enjoy learning again, test and discover their skills in practice and receive professional support during the transition from school to work.

Content & Services

  • Support in developing a daily structure and regular routines
  • Young people experience community and the joy of teamwork
  • Successful re-education or transition to general or vocational schools
  • Arouse interest in the career path
  • 2 days of practical training in the workshops [wood, metal, paint, cooking/nutrition]
  • 2 days of individual instruction by teachers in the core subjects [German, Math, English]
  • 1 day of social-educational group activities
  • Career orientation and supervised internships
  • Help with the transition from school to work
  • Socio-educational support
  • Parental advice

Duration & Course

Entry into the project begins after the summer holidays and is possible at any time. The duration of participation depends on individual progress and can last up to twelve months.

The young people are at Pro Inklusio's locations in Friedberg and Büdingen from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Registration takes place through the main school.

The young people remain legally bound to their home school for the duration of the project, and the home school also issues the certificate at the end after consultation with the project team.

Financial support

The model project is funded by the Wetterau district and the state school authority for the Hochtaunus district and the Wetterau district.
