Shaping digitalization in companies - a crash course in five days
In this five-day course, managers and specialists will gain interdisciplinary and practical know-how and the tools they need to successfully manage digital transformation within their company. The course is particularly aimed at decision-makers in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across all industries.

Module 1 - 03.11.2022: Fundamentals of digital transformation & development of new business models
Module 2 - 04.11.2022: Digital Processes and the Management of Innovations
Module 3 - 23.11.2022: Data protection and information law in the digital transformation
Module 4 - December 1, 2022: Artificial Intelligence as a Basic Technology of the 21st Century
Module 5 - December 13, 2022: Digital Business Models
5 modules on 5 days: Modules 1 to 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Module 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Methods:
Innovative application examples from SMEs are described, followed by a presentation of the drivers and success factors of digitalization based on best practices. Furthermore, practical examples are used to demonstrate how agile (project) management can accelerate digital transformation and contribute to improving internal and external business processes. However, it is also discussed which application areas are not suitable for the use of AI, for example, for ethical reasons.
Remark:
This course was developed jointly with Prof. Dr. Peter Buxmann of TU Darmstadt, Prof. Dr. Thomas Wilmer of Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, Claus Lau of Lau-SBE, Dr. Holger Schmidt of Netzoekonom.de, and Oliver Vetter of TU Darmstadt. The respective subject matter experts will be responsible for teaching the content.
