Professional suitability

This program, which includes a professional and health-related suitability assessment as well as an exploration of career-related interests and motivation, addresses an individualized question: Is taking up employment subject to social security contributions or starting vocational training/retraining possible? Which occupational fields are suitable? Or is it necessary to clarify the current, individual, work-related resilience? The program aims to achieve better self-assessment and external evaluation for participants and to prepare for and ensure the assessment of their professional suitability.

Target audience

This offer is aimed at:

  • School leavers and young adults who want to complete an apprenticeship or are looking for a job
  • Unemployed adults seeking employment or training for a new field of work [Success assessment]
  • Unemployed individuals with various problems whose employability is to be assessed or determined.

Goals

The aim is to prepare for and ensure the assessment of vocational aptitude. The following areas are analyzed through individually tailored vocational tests, exercises, and interest assessments:

  • Physical and mental health and performance
  • Job-relevant knowledge and skills
  • Cognitive or intellectual performance
  • Action-oriented, motor skills
  • Personal and social skills
  • motivation
  • Professional interests

Content & Services

Our psychologist reviews the resume data, medical reports, and external assessments brought by the participants. A subsequent interview focuses on the participants' self-assessment, personal interests, and career goals. Using this information, our specialists are able to develop a test design tailored to each individual participant.

To ensure a precise result, we require the following documents, if available: CV, school leaving certificate, certificate of completion of training/retraining/further education, journeyman's certificate, work references, medical and specialist examination results, rehabilitation examination results and reports, and, if applicable, severely disabled person's ID card.

Duration & Course

Following commissioning by the Lahn-Dill Municipal Job Center, the participation period is 5 days full-time.

The measure is divided into the areas of basic education-related testing procedures, career-related testing procedures and an occupational health examination.

Financial support

The Education Center of the Hessian Economy e. V. is carrying out the measure on behalf of the Lahn-Dill Municipal Job Center.
