Assistant Warehouse and Logistics Services [FbW]

Our training program prepares participants specifically for entry into the warehousing and logistics industry. In addition to fundamental technical knowledge, they obtain their forklift operator's license, strengthen their employability, and gain practical experience through a company internship. The Plus module supplements the training with job-related German language support.

Target audience

This offer is aimed at:

  • Job seekers and unemployed people interested in working in the warehouse and logistics sector
  • People without a usable vocational qualification or with low qualifications
  • Employees who want to develop professionally
  • People with language support needs (Plus module with job-related German language support)

Goals

The aim of the training program is sustainable integration into the labor market. Participants acquire fundamental knowledge in warehousing and logistics, qualify to operate industrial trucks, strengthen their professional and personal skills, and improve their chances of securing employment subject to social security contributions. The Plus module also provides targeted support for job-related German language skills.

Content & Services

The qualification includes, among other things:

  • Introduction to the field of warehousing and logistics
  • Fundamentals of merchandise management and warehousing
  • Occupational safety and health, as well as environmental and legal principles
  • Certificate of competence to operate a forklift truck (forklift license)
  • Job application training and support with starting a job
  • Work placement to apply acquired knowledge
  • The Plus module additionally includes: job-related German language support for everyday work in the warehouse.

Duration & Course

The qualification consists of a theory phase and a four-week company internship.

  • Module 1: 8 weeks of theory (256 teaching units) plus 4 weeks of practical training
  • Plus Module 2: 8 weeks of theory including 64 teaching units of job-related German language support (320 teaching units) plus 4 weeks of internship

If the program is carried out on a part-time basis, the total duration will be extended accordingly.

Financial support

Participation can be funded – provided the personal requirements are met – through the employment agency or the job center. Please contact your assigned advisor.
