Fit for training and career

"Fit for Training and Career [FAuB]" offers the opportunity to gain experience in one or more professional fields. This allows you to put your interests and skills into practice.

As part of the program, the young people created the video "Your Last Chance" as a project work.

Target group

The offer is aimed at young people with special needs and the following requirements:

• School leavers with at least nine years of schooling
• no or very weak secondary school leaving certificate
• no training or job
• Place of residence in the district of Groß-Gerau

Goals

• Facilitating the start of training or employment
• Improving school performance
• Achieving the secondary school leaving certificate
• Improving social skills

Content & Services

The internship offers the opportunity to attract the attention of companies through reliability, motivation and willingness to perform, thereby increasing the chances of obtaining a training position or job.

There are also lessons to improve academic performance and prepare for the secondary school leaving examinations.

The participants are supervised and advised by experienced educators throughout the entire program.

Duration & Course

The duration of the measure is 12 months.

Registration is usually done through the school currently attended.

FAuB is funded by the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs and the Groß-Gerau district.
