Do you have no or a weak secondary school leaving certificate and are looking for a practical alternative to school? Would you like to gain work experience and obtain your secondary school leaving certificate at the same time? Then Fit for Training and Career (FAuB) is just right for you!

Target audience

Who is FAuB for?
Our services are aimed at young people with special educational needs who:

• have attended school for at least nine years,
• have no or a very weak secondary school leaving certificate,
• have not yet found an apprenticeship or job
• live in the district of Groß-Gerau.

What you can expect at FAuB
Services offered by the educational institution:

• Teaching: General education and project-based teaching.
• Internship preparation: Organization and support of company internships.
• Secondary school leaving certificate: Targeted preparation for the external examination.
• Support: Continuous exchange with companies, career counseling and parents.
• Safety: Social and accident insurance for all participants.
• Support: Individual support and a lump-sum payment.

Personal support
Experienced educators will accompany and advise you throughout the entire program.
Individual support for all challenges.

Duration & Course

Period: 01.09.2025 – 31.08.2026 (12 months).
Structure:

1. Introductory phase at the educational institution.

2. Internship: 3 days/week in one or more companies.

3. Theory: 2 days/week (vocational preparation lessons).

4. Conclusion: Examinations at the end of the program.

FAuB is implemented in combination with the program “Vocational Qualification Language Support Plus (BQS+)”.

Financial support

FAuB is funded by the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs and the district of Groß-Gerau.

FAuB is funded from the training market budget of the state of Hesse.
