Chance 2.0 - Activation & Secondary School Certificate

The activation measure Chance 2.0 offers the opportunity to obtain the external (qualifying) secondary school certificate and to gain experience in one or more professional fields through company internships.

The internship also offers the opportunity to attract the attention of companies through reliability, motivation and willingness to perform, thus significantly increasing the chances of obtaining a training position and a job.

Target group

The offer is aimed at young people and young adults aged 16 - 25 living in Darmstadt who do not have a secondary school certificate, do not have a training or job, and do not attend secondary school.

Goals

• Achieving the secondary school leaving certificate
• Introduction to dual vocational training or, if necessary, employment

Content & Services

We offer optimal support and encouragement through a combination of:

• Preparation for the external secondary school leaving examination in small learning groups
• occupational field-related testing within the framework of company internships
• theoretical and vocationally oriented instruction
• Media education and interesting projects

Throughout the entire program, participants are supported and advised by experienced educators.

Duration & Course

Entry is possible between September 1, 2023, and August 31, 2024.

The course lasts 12 months and is offered in Darmstadt (Pallaswiesenviertel), Eberstadt and Kranichstein.

Chance 2.0 is funded by the Science City of Darmstadt in conjunction with funds from the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs and the Darmstadt Job Center.
