PSB – Psychosocial Counseling at the Transition from School to Work

Our "Psychosocial Counseling" project offers young people and young adults aged 16 to 27 individual and targeted support in dealing with current issues. Our support consists of identifying, strengthening, and developing existing personal skills and competencies. Based on this foundation, participants experience psychosocial stabilization and acquire independent coping skills. Activating previously unrecognized individual resources prepares participants for essential career-related characteristics, namely employability and readiness for vocational training.

The first phase comprises a maximum of five counseling sessions. It serves to clarify the initial situation and identify specific psychosocial issues. At the end, goals are agreed upon together, taking into account the current life situation and realistic development prospects.

The second phase comprises a maximum of 10 counseling sessions. In this activation phase, we support participants in achieving their stated goals. This is based on a trusting collaboration. In this way, we initiate the development of a sustainable life plan with realistic future prospects.
