Vocational training in the company – an alternative to the workshop for people with disabilities

More and more young people with disabilities are receiving inclusive education. After school, the question often arises as to how inclusion can be further implemented.

One such opportunity is offered by the Bildungswerk der Hessischen Wirtschaft e. V. (Hessian Business Education Center). Young people seeking an alternative to workshops for people with disabilities receive individualized and tailored support in completing vocational training in companies operating in the general labor market.

Target group

The offer is aimed at people who

• have a confirmed right to vocational training in a workshop for people with disabilities
• want to gain professional orientation and qualifications in companies on the general labor market
• and are looking for individual and tailored support.

Goals

The goal of this program is to broaden career options through practical work experience. We aim to find employment for and with our participants that matches their individual interests and abilities.

Content & Services

We provide vocational training in workshops for people with disabilities, based on the content of the entry-level program and vocational training. However, work trials and internships take place in the general labor market.

Our offers in detail are:

• Preparation of participants for operational practice
• Determination of skills and abilities
• Conducting company visits and internships
• Search for suitable companies – preparation of practical training periods
• Intensive training and job coaching at the workplace
• Regular support in the company
• Information and support from colleagues and superiors
• Implementation of the weekly teaching days at the BWHW
• Accompanying the transition after the measure

The Bildungswerk der Hessischen Wirtschaft eV also supports you in the necessary applications and negotiations with the service providers.

Duration & Course

The project is long-term, with participants able to participate for up to 27 months. Participants can join at any time.

Financial support

Approval for vocational training in a workshop for people with disabilities can be converted into a personal budget. There are no costs for the budget recipients. We provide support with the application process.
