“TADA part-time training in Darmstadt”

The "TADA - Part-Time Training in Darmstadt" project raises awareness of part-time training and firmly establishes it in the structures of Darmstadt, the city of science. The goal is to provide more people with access to vocational training while simultaneously supporting companies in securing skilled workers.

Project goals

  • Integration of part-time training into the existing educational and advisory services in Darmstadt
  • Attracting companies in Darmstadt that offer part-time training positions
  • Developing new target groups for part-time training and supporting entry into training

Target group

  • Companies with a need for skilled workers
  • Advisory and educational institutions in Darmstadt
  • Part-time training interested parties include:
    • Parents and single parents
    • Career changers
    • Returnees to work
    • People with health restrictions
    • Refugees and people with a migration background

Project modules

Module 1: Assessing the educational landscape – analysis of existing structures and development of an action plan to anchor part-time education.

Module 2: Reaching employers – addressing and raising awareness among companies as well as collaborating with chambers and networks.

Module 3: Addressing target groups – development of target group-specific offers, advice and close cooperation with social institutions.

What is part-time training

Part-time training is a full-time vocational training course with a recognized qualification, where the daily or weekly working hours are reduced.

Part-time training is generally possible in all recognized professions of the dual training system and for everyone.

The "TADA - Part-time Training in Darmstadt" project is managed by the Science City of Darmstadt and implemented by the Educational Institute of the Hessian Economy (BWHW) in Darmstadt. It runs from September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026.

The project operates in close cooperation with the Hesse-wide service center for part-time training.

Financial support

The project is funded by the training and qualification budget (AQB) of the Hessian Ministry of Labor, Integration, Youth and Social Affairs and the Science City of Darmstadt.
