MobiPro-EU
To counteract the high youth unemployment rate in many EU countries and the shortage of skilled workers in Germany, the special program "MobiPro-EU" was launched. The Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs [BMAS] supports this program to support the professional mobility of young people and young adults from Europe interested in training and wishing to complete an apprenticeship in Germany.
The Bildungswerk der Hessischen Wirtschaft eV is carrying out the project, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
Target group
The program is aimed at young people and young adults between the ages of 18 and 27 who have not completed vocational training. Participation is subject to approval by the ZAV (Central Agency for International Placement), which determines eligibility.

Content & Services
- German lessons
- linguistic, professional and socio-educational internship and training support
- Remedial teaching in small and career-related learning groups
- Personal advice and support from a social worker
Project phases
- Preparatory German language training in the country of origin until language level B1 is reached
- Getting to know a training profession and a training company through an internship
- Completion of a dual training program [as a cook, hotel or restaurant worker]
Duration & Course
The duration of the measure is 3.5 years.
