Basic Education @ Darmstadt

The BWHW offers adults in Darmstadt support with reading, writing, and arithmetic. Our basic education program is free of charge and includes media courses that explain and practice the use of smartphones, tablets, and computers. The participants' prior knowledge and needs are the focus and determine the learning content.

The courses are offered at the BWHW on Rheinstrasse (Dugena-Haus) and in several districts.

Target group

Our program is aimed at all adults living in Darmstadt. Anyone who wants to improve their skills in German, math, or digital media is welcome.

  • Networking with multipliers from the world of work and authorities
  • Establish learning opportunities close to home in the districts

Content and services

The small-group classes are free of charge for students. In addition to German, the course offerings include math and digital education. Media courses teach basic smartphone, tablet, and computer skills.

The wishes and interests of our participants are our top priority. We work with our students to identify the specific topics of our courses in their professional, family, and everyday lives. This allows us to offer a personalized learning experience tailored to the participants' individual needs.

Duration and course

The scope and times of the lessons will be discussed with the participants at the beginning of the course.

You can join the courses at any time after an initial consultation.
