Integration Center

The Integration Center offers you:

• orientation in the German labor market and in German society,
• language and vocational training in preparation for professional employment or training.

Target group

The Integration Center is aimed at adult refugees in the recognition process or who have already been recognized, aged 18 or over, who are seeking integration into the primary labor market.

Goals

The aim is to place the participants in professional employment or training.

Content & Services

Based on our programs, we enable you to develop new perspectives for your life in Germany. You will gain practical insights into companies, and information and support will support your career path. The assessment and recognition of your existing educational qualifications and professional skills are another component of the project.

The project is divided into two phases:

Phase 1

• Intensive, professional language training
• Getting to know German values and rules as well as the job market
• Information on various professional fields
• Career discovery and career orientation
• Competence assessment
• Trial internship

Phase 2

• Acquisition of professional skills: e.g. in an IT course and a four-week operational trial
• Application training
• Placement support for taking up a job

Your regular participation, lessons in the learning group and personal goal development form the basis for subsequent vocational training or a job.

Duration & Course

Phase 1: 12 weeks for people who have not yet attended an integration course.

Phase 2: 12 weeks

The duration of participation is set at 19 or 24 weeks. Attendance is six hours per day (up to eight hours during the internship).

Financial support

The program is being conducted on behalf of the Darmstadt Employment Agency and the Darmstadt Job Center. Participants require an activation and placement voucher (AVGS) from the Employment Agency or the provider of basic social security benefits.
